A) Lots of different answers... I checked on my SKY+ HD box which has a 80GB hard drive. 25% of the space are in use and adding the movies together, they are about 10 hours long. All of them are recorded in standard definition. So an 80GB harddrive will give you 40 hours of recording in standard definition, a 160GB hard drive will give you 80 hours as confirmed by these guys http://www.xtendedplay.co.uk/sky-hard-disk-upgrade-kit-160gb-drive-p-48.html so out of a 40GB hard drive you should get roughly 20 hours of recording. Nightmare looking for a July holiday.....any advice?

Q) I have spent 3 days on the internet on various websites looking for a decent holiday for July (round about last 2 weeks). The problem I am finding is that because we are 2 adults and 2 kids (2 & 9) most of the accom is 1 bedroom with 2 sofa beds......I don't want either myself & fella or the kids sleeping on sofa beds so I am looking for 2 bedroomed, all inclusive to almost anywhere if decent (not Greece or Tunisia).....4/5* and I have a budget of upto £3000. Has anyone any ideas, or websites that are good? I have tried: Firstchoice Thompson Thomas Cook Sky travel Teletext Eclipse Portland Direct hols Airtours My TRavel Travel city direct Instant holidays Balkan XL Prob more that I can't think about. Am I asking too much?

A) The best thing I can think of doing is think of a country you would like to go to. You can bring up a list of hotels in resorts which give details about whether two bedroom suites are available. Then book direct with the hotel and book your flight separately. Another thing is to go to a travel agent, let them do all the work for you, get a list of places that will provide exactly what you want and then go home, look them up yourself on the internet and book it yourself. I have just typed in All inclusive holidays with two bedrooms on google and it's brought up a few hotels that have two bedrooms.

Recent holiday apartment facilities not working or missing am I entitled to compensation?

Q) Recent holiday private apartment rental had several problems. No safe to key advertisement said it was available to rent. Sky television did not work from 7pm to 11.00pm every evening just when you wanted a quiet evening in. Furniture and fittings not new and anything like photo and description on advert. Oven grill dirty and not cleaned. Accomodation in poor decorative state and surfaces dirty and dusty. Please advise

A) You may be. As with so many of these questions, it depends. If you rented within the UK, it's a simple matter is mis-description. If the renter represented to you that for your wonga you would get an apartment of a certain standard with certain facilities, and you didn't - you are entitled to reclaim the difference in value between what you rented and what you actually got. That's usually assessed by a percentage of the rental cost. If you rented abroad as part of a package, then you are entitled to the same protection under the Package Tours Regulations against the tour operator. If included the link below which sets out the Regulations in full. Your route to recompense is the county court and assuming the claim is less than £5,000, the claim is assigned to the small claims track, where there is a nil costs regime, win or lose.

A) Did you take any photos of the shabby furniture/ dirty grill etc? You can try to get compensation from the agent, but if you have no joy, try cantacting your local Trading Standards office. They might be able to help.

My roommate has emigrated while I was on holiday - what about bills in her name?

Q) I was sharing a flat with an Australian. We were due to leave this flat (tenancy ended) on 2nd September. I went on holiday from 3rd August for 3 weeks. When I got back, there's a note saying that she's gone!! I'll still be in London in a different flat, my question is, there is a Sky bill under her name. There's still 9 months to go in the contract. I'm scared to call up Sky. Are they going to tell me that I'm liable for her account? It's under her name, I never wanted it, and she had agreed when she set it up that she was cool paying the whole bill.

A) Not you problem. Contact Sky and explain that the person who had the contract has moved without giving a forwarding address and you think they should be aware of the situation. Remember that if they ask you, you had nothing to do with the Sky contract as you couldn't afford it.

Ski Holiday - Cardiff to france?

Q) Does anybody know where i can get a cheap sky holiday to france leaving from cardiff on the 14th of september and coming home on the 17th. I have never been skiing before but i wanted to go for my g/f bday, so i dont know which parts of france are the best to go to, but she does but i cant really ask her because its a bday present. A) I think September is too early, I would imagine most resorts don't open before November. I know that when I lived in Alps a couple of years ago, they were having to make snow on some of the lower resorts nearby in January.

Why was Rob Zombie's "Halloween" not released closer to Halloween, the holiday?

Q) I am a huge fan of the Halloween series, especially the first of the series and as excited as I am for the movie to come out, I was a little perplexed as to why Rob Zombie did not shoot for a release date closer to Halloween. I am hoping it lasts in the theaters until then! Was this a marketing ploy by the studio? Maybe they're thinking ticket sales will steadily drop until Halloween time and then sky rocket back up due to the holiday. Hmm clever, maybe?

I need a holiday destination in Europe?

Q) I am currently looking for a holiday destination for myself and my sister. She is 22 and I am 25. The pair of us have not been away for 13 years so we are looking for a perfect holiday. We like to go out and party and lounge on the beach (so we need somewhere with a beach and that will be very hot) The only thing that we ask is that we don't want to go to a place that is really 'English'. I don't want a full english every morning, of go down to the local bar and watch Sky football and drink English lager or beer. I would like some tradition. We also want somewhere that is quite lively, but if needed, can be quite quiet. We are wanting to travel in September (on or around the 8th) so it will need to be hot then, and we are also wanting to stay All Inclusive. I quite fancy one of the Greek islands, but I have no idea which is the best, or the hottest. I thought I would ask on here because there will be lots of suggestions for the perfect holiday that the pair of us deserve.

A) If you want to escape the "English" then DON'T go to Costa del Sol...Sky News and "bangers" rule supreme there (doesn't help that it is so close to the English outpost of Gibraltar). If you want to go to Spain you might investigate Barcelona or Costa Brava (same geographic area), or one of the islands in the Balearic (Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza most notably) or Canaries (Tenerife - has a cool black sand beach and night-life, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote) chains. As for the Greek islands, Mykonos is truly the party island (and the gay party island). Of course if you want some culture mixed in with your beach time, then I would go to Rhodes. But to be honest, I would much prefer to go to the Dalmatian coast in Croatia - it's still not a "hot" commercial tourist destination yet (like the Spanish coast or Greek islands) and it's absolutely gorgeous - the beaches are beautiful with clear shallow turquoise blue waters and in close proximity to a number of medieval towns/cities (including Dubrovnik which is a UNESCO world heritage site)...and the coast offers a pretty descent nightlife scene. Definitely worth investigating!
