best place to stay self catering on west coast of scotland for seafood, both restaurants and buying fresh?

Q) I want to holiday in scotland in april and would like any tips on a good place for buying fresh caught seafood and with decent fish restaurants

A) West coast of Dumfries. I have a cottage there, and it is by the sea, the entire place is influenced by it.

Q) We love our long weekends but are stressed at the thought of having a small baby in a hotel for future holidays. For our first holiday we are looking for a nice self catering place where we won't have to worry about noise travelling. We live in Scotland and like the outdoors; Lake District, Yorkshire, Costal walks etc Any recommendations?
